One of the many features that DNN has overlooked, or has decided just isn’t worth their time is image captions. Yea, you can install a module, but why? Why would you want to install an entirely separate piece of code to do this one simple task. It should be built in, but until then, it is either a module or generate them yourself. Fortunately, it is pretty simple with some jQuery utilizing the long description attribute. The only requirement is that you target your main content area is that is the only area you want captions generated for. You never know if a client has added a long description in another HTML Module in some other region of the page.
